Morné Scheepers
Founder & Cost Consultant
Morné holds a B.Proc degree from the University of the Free State and has over 29 years’ experience in the specialised field of legal costs.
He began his career at Naudes Attorneys in 1996, was admitted as an attorney in 1998 and was soon appointed as the firm’s in-house cost consultant.
Since then, he has built a distinguished career as a leading expert in the discipline, with particular expertise in Supreme Court of Appeal costs.
His professional services include providing advice and assistance on both litigious and non-litigious cost matters, the drawing and taxation of bills, the preparation and assessment of non-litigious bills of costs for the Free State Legal Practice Council and attending to the opposition, settlement and arbitration of bills of costs.
These services are delivered to firms nationwide through Morne’s in-house team of legal cost consultants.
In the past, Morné lectured extensively on legal costs to candidate attorneys at the Schools for Legal Practice and served on the Board of Legal Costs Mediators.
Outside of his professional life, Morné is a passionate and accomplished bowls player, often found honing his skills on the green and competing at a high level.
